1. Who we are

Switch Clip ("we") operates https://www.switchclip.io, a tool that turns Creative Commons (CC BY) licensed YouTube videos into short vertical videos. Contact: rewyndkr@gmail.com

2. Information we collect

• Account: when you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, profile picture and Google account ID. If you sign up with email we store your email address and a hashed password.
• YouTube connection (optional): if you connect a YouTube channel we store an encrypted authorization (refresh) token and the email address of the connected Google account. For each Short you upload we store the YouTube video ID, privacy setting and upload status.
• Projects: the videos you choose, the Shorts generated for you (titles, descriptions, hashtags, captions) and the rendered video files.
• Payments: order ID, product, amount, currency and payment status. Card or PayPal details are handled by the payment provider and never reach our servers.
• Usage data: pages viewed and buttons clicked, an anonymous cookie ID, a device cookie, approximate country, and a hashed IP address used only to prevent abuse of free credits.

3. How we use information

• To provide the service: create, store and deliver your Shorts and keep your purchased exports in your account.
• To upload a video to your YouTube channel when, and only when, you click Upload on a Short you exported.
• To process payments and refunds, prevent abuse, fix problems and improve the product.
• We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

4. Google and YouTube API Services

Switch Clip uses YouTube API Services. By using the YouTube features of Switch Clip you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms). Google's Privacy Policy is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

• Google user data we access: with Google Sign-In (openid, email, profile scopes) your name, email address, profile picture and Google account ID; with YouTube connection (youtube.upload scope) an authorization token and the email address of that Google account.
• How we use it: name, email, picture and account ID only to create your account, sign you in, show who is signed in and contact you about your account or purchases. The YouTube token only to upload the Shorts you choose.
• Channel connection requests only the youtube.upload scope, and only when you click Connect. It is used solely to upload the video file you selected, with its title, description, tags and the required CC BY attribution, to your own channel.
• We do not read, modify or delete your other videos, playlists, comments, subscribers or analytics.
• After an upload we show the public view, like and comment counts of that video, read with our own API key from public YouTube data, not with your token.
• Sharing: we do not sell, rent or share Google user data. It is stored only with the infrastructure providers that run Switch Clip on our behalf (Google Firebase for account records, Vercel for hosting) under confidentiality and security obligations, and may be disclosed only if required by law. It is never sent to OpenAI or to any analytics or advertising service.
• Data received from Google APIs is used only to provide and improve user-facing features of Switch Clip, is not used for advertising, and is not used to train AI models. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
• You can disconnect at any time on the Connections page, which revokes the token with Google and deletes it from our database. You can also revoke access at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Lists of public YouTube videos (titles, channels, view counts, licence) are fetched through the YouTube Data API and cached for a short time; this is public information, not your personal data.

5. Service providers

We use the following processors to run the service:

• Google Firebase (Firestore) — account, project and purchase records
• Cloudflare R2 — rendered video files
• Vercel — website and API hosting
• Google Analytics — anonymous usage statistics (pages viewed, approximate region, device type)
• OpenAI — captions and audio of the public source video are sent to select highlights and write titles; no account data is sent
• PortOne / KG Inicis (KRW) and Toss Payments / PayPal (USD) — payments

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies (a signed session cookie that keeps you signed in, a device cookie used to limit free-credit abuse, and a short-lived cookie during sign-in) and Google Analytics cookies to measure how the site is used. We do not use advertising cookies. You can block analytics with your browser settings or Google's opt-out add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

7. Retention and deletion

We keep account data, including your Google name, email, picture and account ID, while your account exists. Rendered files are deleted when you delete a project. The YouTube token and connected email are deleted immediately when you disconnect, or when an upload shows that access was revoked at Google.

To delete your account and all associated data, email rewyndkr@gmail.com from the address on your account. We delete it, including all Google user data, within 30 days, except records we must keep by law (for example payment records).

8. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS) and stored encrypted at rest by our providers. YouTube tokens are additionally encrypted with AES-256-GCM before storage and are never sent to the browser. Passwords are stored as salted hashes, sessions use signed cookies, video files are served through expiring signed links, and access to production data is limited to the operator.

9. Children

Switch Clip is not directed to children under 14 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes

We will post changes on this page and update the date below. If we change how we use Google user data, we will notify signed-in users by email or an in-app notice before the change takes effect and ask for consent where required. Last updated: 2026-10-10.

• 유튜브 채널 연결(선택): 암호화한 인증(갱신) 토큰과 연결한 구글 계정의 이메일. 올린 쇼츠마다 유튜브 영상 ID, 공개 설정, 업로드 상태.
• 프로젝트: 선택한 영상, 생성된 쇼츠 정보(제목·설명·해시태그·자막)와 결과 영상 파일.
• 결제: 주문번호, 상품, 금액, 통화, 결제 상태. 카드·PayPal 정보는 결제대행사가 처리하며 서비스 서버에 저장되지 않습니다.
• 이용 기록: 본 화면과 누른 버튼, 익명 쿠키 식별자, 기기 쿠키, 접속 국가, 무료 편수 부정 수령 방지용으로 암호화(해시)한 IP 주소.

3. 이용 목적

• 쇼츠 생성·보관·제공, 구매한 추출 편수의 계정 보관
• 이용자가 추출한 쇼츠에서 '올리기'를 누른 경우에 한해 본인 유튜브 채널에 업로드
• 결제·환불 처리, 부정 이용 방지, 오류 수정과 서비스 개선
• 개인정보를 판매하지 않으며 광고 목적으로 쓰지 않습니다.

4. 구글·유튜브 API 서비스

서비스는 YouTube API 서비스를 사용합니다. 유튜브 관련 기능을 이용하면 YouTube 서비스 약관(https://www.youtube.com/t/terms)에 동의하는 것으로 봅니다. 구글 개인정보처리방침: https://policies.google.com/privacy

• 접근하는 구글 사용자 정보: 구글 로그인(openid, email, profile 권한) 시 이름, 이메일, 프로필 사진, 구글 계정 식별자. 유튜브 채널 연결(youtube.upload 권한) 시 인증 토큰과 해당 구글 계정의 이메일.
• 이용 방법: 이름·이메일·사진·계정 식별자는 계정 생성, 로그인, 로그인한 사람 표시, 계정·결제 관련 연락에만 씁니다. 유튜브 토큰은 이용자가 고른 쇼츠를 올리는 데에만 씁니다.
• 채널 연결은 '연결'을 누를 때만 youtube.upload 권한을 요청하며, 이용자가 고른 영상 파일과 제목·설명·태그·출처 표기를 본인 채널에 올리는 데에만 씁니다.
• 다른 영상, 재생목록, 댓글, 구독자, 통계는 읽지도 고치지도 지우지도 않습니다.
• 업로드 후에는 해당 영상의 공개 조회수·좋아요·댓글 수를 보여 주며, 이는 이용자 토큰이 아니라 서비스의 API 키로 공개 정보를 읽은 것입니다.
• 공유: 구글 사용자 정보를 판매·대여·제공하지 않습니다. 서비스 운영을 위탁한 인프라(계정 기록은 Google Firebase, 호스팅은 Vercel)에 보안·비밀유지 의무 하에 저장될 뿐이며, 법령에 따른 요구가 있을 때만 공개할 수 있습니다. OpenAI나 분석·광고 서비스에는 보내지 않습니다.
• 구글 API로 받은 정보는 서비스 기능 제공과 개선에만 쓰고, 광고나 AI 학습에 쓰지 않으며, Google API 서비스 사용자 데이터 정책(제한적 사용 요건 포함)을 따릅니다.
• '채널 연결' 화면에서 언제든 연결을 해제할 수 있고, 해제하면 구글에 토큰 폐기를 요청하고 저장된 토큰을 삭제합니다. https://myaccount.google.com/permissions 에서도 권한을 철회할 수 있습니다.

공개 유튜브 영상 목록(제목·채널·조회수·라이선스)은 YouTube Data API로 받아 잠시 캐시합니다. 공개 정보이며 이용자의 개인정보가 아닙니다.

5. 처리 위탁

• Google Firebase(Firestore) — 계정·프로젝트·결제 기록 저장
• Cloudflare R2 — 결과 영상 파일 저장
• Vercel — 웹사이트·API 호스팅
• Google 애널리틱스 — 익명 이용 통계(본 페이지, 대략적인 지역, 기기 종류)
• OpenAI — 공개된 원본 영상의 자막·음성으로 하이라이트 선정과 제목 작성 (계정 정보는 보내지 않음)
• 포트원 / KG이니시스(원화), 토스페이먼츠 / PayPal(달러) — 결제

6. 쿠키

필수 쿠키(로그인 유지를 위한 서명된 세션 쿠키, 무료 편수 부정 수령 방지를 위한 기기 쿠키, 로그인 과정의 단기 쿠키)와, 사이트 이용 현황을 측정하는 Google 애널리틱스 쿠키를 사용합니다. 광고 쿠키는 쓰지 않습니다. 브라우저 설정이나 Google 차단 부가기능(https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout)으로 측정을 거부할 수 있습니다.

7. 보관과 삭제

구글 이름·이메일·사진·계정 식별자를 포함한 계정 정보는 탈퇴 시까지 보관합니다. 결과 영상은 프로젝트를 삭제하면 지워지고, 유튜브 토큰과 연결 이메일은 연결을 해제하거나 업로드 중 구글에서 권한이 철회된 것을 확인하는 즉시 삭제됩니다.

계정과 모든 데이터의 삭제는 가입한 이메일로 rewyndkr@gmail.com 에 요청해 주세요. 법령상 보관 의무가 있는 기록(결제 기록 등)을 제외하고 구글 사용자 정보를 포함해 30일 안에 삭제합니다.

8. 보안

모든 통신은 HTTPS(TLS)로 이루어지고 저장 데이터는 위탁사에서 암호화됩니다. 유튜브 토큰은 저장 전에 AES-256-GCM으로 한 번 더 암호화하며 브라우저로 보내지 않습니다. 비밀번호는 솔트 해시로, 세션은 서명된 쿠키로 관리하고, 영상 파일은 만료되는 서명 링크로 제공하며, 운영 데이터 접근은 운영자로 제한합니다.

9. 아동

만 14세 미만을 대상으로 하지 않으며 해당 아동의 정보를 알면서 수집하지 않습니다.

10. 변경

방침이 바뀌면 이 페이지에 게시합니다. 구글 사용자 정보의 이용 방식이 바뀌는 경우 시행 전에 이메일 또는 서비스 내 공지로 알리고, 필요한 경우 다시 동의를 받습니다. 최종 수정일: 2026-10-10
